Date Plantation Program by Betila-Mitra Union Parishad
Details
In order to retain the traditional Hazari Gur of Manikganj with
 the slogan "Shyamal Nirmal Manikganj" in front of it, 100 date
 palm saplings were planted on both sides of Char Street in Betila
 by Betila-Mitra Union Parishad on Saturday 10 February 2024. 
Manikganj Sadar Upazila Upazila Executive Officer Mr. Liton Dhali
 was the chief guest of the palm tree planting program.
Mr. Md. Asmat Ali, Chairman of Betila-Mitra Union, UP Secretary
 Mr. Md. Mushfiqur Rahman, UP members, Dafadar, village policemen
 and dignitaries of the area were present in the program which 
started at 10 am. At this time, the Chairman highlighted the 
importance of planting date palm saplings and requested everyone
 to plant more date palm saplings.He also said that the palm tree
 planting program will continue in the 9 wards of the Union.
